My weekend getaway!

After a very exhausting week from works it's time to chill and relax from stress and stressors in everyday’s hassle and buzzles... I was suppose to go to AMF Bowling Place in North Strathfield for a birthday celebration but I can’t contact anybody... so I decided to go and watch movie in Reading Cinema on Rhodes and watched Pirates of the Carribean – On Stranger Tides.

I enjoy Johnny Depp’s movies, he is one of a kind actor who plays versatile roles such as Captain Jack Sparrow, I can’t adore him enough for portraying his role adorably.

The movie has breath taking views from oceans to forest to rivers beaches. Jack Sparrow being the legendary slicky pirate happen to be in London to save an old fellow for being hung. Unfortunately, they were captured by a King who wants to hold an expedition in search for the Fountain of Youth to be led by Hector, who lost Jack’s ship --- “the black pearl” and his leg. Captain Jack Sparrow, who seem not interested helping them in the expedition escaped and found his father, who warned him about the Fountain of Youth. Wanting to know the where about of Jack Sparrow, Hector’s troops captured Gibbs who happen to have the map. Gibbs destroy the map and forced Hector to let him join his expedition.

Angelina, the former lover and daughter of Blackbeard was the one who is impersonating him to gather pirates who will be her slave on her expedition. Jack was being captured and force to work for Blackbeard. During their journey, Jack learned the things that he need to know, like the chalice that belongs to Juan Ponce de Leon and a mermaid’s tear. The person who will drink from that chalice with mermaid’s tear will gain youthfulness and the other one who doesn’t have the tear will die and sacrifice his life. They passed the Whitecap bay to catch a mermaid where they successfully did. On their journey in search for the mountain, Jack was sent to look for the chalice hidden at Juan Ponce de Leon’s ship. There he meet his old fellow Hector who is also searching for the chalice but the Spaniards already have it so they teamed up and plan how to retrieve it. While scaping the Spaniards outnumbered them and make them prisoner. Hector, confessed to Jack that he is not after the fountain but he wants revenge. Slicky Jack again manage to escape from captivity and run away from the Spaniards together with Hector’s troop, meanwhile, the mermaid, Syrena was forced to gave her tear as his apple of the eye, Philip was being battered and almost die.

Blackbeard, Angelina and their troops continue their search for the fountain as Jack and Gibbs return from the forest. He negotiated for his compass and to free Gibbs in exchange for chalice. While walking, Jack noticed something unusual... a drop of water flowing against the gravity. They found the fountain by saying the magical word “aqua de vida”.

At the fountain, they were attacked by Hector’s troop and the Spaniards who destroyed the Fountain, believing that it was against God’s will. While they were all fighting Philip returned to where they left the mermaid to save her. Hector stabbed Blackbeard with poisoned sword that wounded him and her daughter Angelina. Jack looked for the chalice to save Angelina. The place was all wreck as the Spaniards leave the place. Syrena, found the chalice and told Jack not to spoil her tear, in slight panic Jack immediately fetch water from the destroyed fountain and drop the tear on once chalice. He gave the chalice with tear to Angelina and the other to his father who were both wounded and poisoned. A sudden rush of water took Blackbeard’s life sparing his daughter’s life. Syrena came back to heal Philip.

Overall, the movie is fantastic. The action and adventure was awesome for people like me who like this kind of movie, everything was portrayed well. I do recommend this movie for the whole family, surely the kids will love the movie. Johnny Depp is amazingly charming and adorable in this movie. Penelope Cruz doesn’t look pregnant in this movie and everybody is great!
